Description

Like the other guitars in Taylor s 800 series, this 12-fret (20 frets, total) Grand Concert model is built with a Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood for its back and sides, along with design aesthetics consistent to the 800s. The difference is the 12-fret s bracing and positioning of the bridge. The different neck body joint requires the bridge to be closer to the instrument s lower bout. By articulating a different place on the top, the tone is somewhat darker–not as bright yet with well pronounced high end and dynamic range. It sustains forever with absolute musicality, and a real singing quality when fingerpicked.
